Tito BoyScouts is a Hip-Hop dance crew, who trained with Culture Shock – D.C.
The Tito BoyScouts were originally founded in 2006 as a volunteer group for a Filipino culture camp that helped adopted Filipino children to become more aware of their birth culture. Since then, the Tito BoyScouts have continued to express their passion to entertain through the art of Hip-Hop dance.
While each of the Core BoyScouts contribute choreographed pieces separately, the Tito BoyScouts will often work together by contributing choreography to make a single piece that reflects the carefree style of the Tito BoyScouts as a whole.
You will always find them dancing their carefree style while repping the DC/MD/VA area with nothing but love for dance and others with the same passion.
Having been together long before coming to call themselves BoyScouts, they see themselves as much more than just a dance crew, but as Tru Family. The Tito
BoyScouts never forget why they first got together and continue to perform for the campers of the culture camp they volunteered for in the first place every year.
Their name reflects the bi-cultural aspect of their lives. It is typical for a Filipino family to give the nickname “Boy” to one of their sons. “Tito” means “uncle” in Tagalog, one of the national languages of the Philippines. The Boy Scout reflects their American and carefree side. Putting all aspects of their lives together, you get the Tito BoyScouts!
